Beginning on May 5th, Mike Love will perform 23 shows in 26 days, spanning coast to coast. Love’s performances will begin in Florida for four dates, before playing in South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California.

The highlights of Mike Love’s tour include the Reggae on the Block Festival in Florida, which features Chronixx, Common Kings, J Boog, Collie Buddz, The Expendables, John Brown’s Body, among others, a supporting act slot in Las Vegas, featuring J Boog as the headliner, and Mike Love’s second consecutive appearance at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival in Monterey, California.

As for the live sound, Mike Love fuses the simple rhythms of classic reggae with the complex changes of the classical and rock music he was first trained on to come up with a style wholly unique to him. Love harkens the legends of roots reggae in both his lyrics and his sound, but never relies on any one genre to hold him down. It certainly is not a fluke that Mike Love has received the prestigious Na Hoku Honohono Award (Hawaiian version of the Grammys) for Best Reggae Album.

Fans on the mainland are in for a treat once Mike Love comes to your town to perform live. It truly is a captivating live performance from one of the elite singers and musicians in the reggae genre today.
