California Roots has expanded their brand, transitioning from just a California-based festival, but now on the east coast.
In October 2013, California Roots the Carolina Sessions debuted in Wilmington, North Carolina. Over the first two-years, the festival brought headlining artists to the newly formed festival, including SOJA, Rebelution, Matisyahu, Dirty Heads, Iration, The Expendables and more.
Now in the festival’s third-year, California Roots the Carolina Sessions has moved it’s venue 75 miles south to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Originally, the date for the 3rd annual Carolina Sessions found its way in the midst of Hurricane Joaquin, requiring the festival’s producers to postpone for safety reasons and concerns.
Although, the postponement has not stopped the festival or the fans.
The 3rd Annual California Roots the Carolina Sessions will kick off on April 9, 2016 with headlining performances by SOJA, 311, Passafire, Stick Figure and special guest time slots for Fortunate Youth, The Movement, New Kingston, Fear Nuttin Band, Sun Dried Vibes, Moska Project and Treehouse.
Tickets for the April 9th Carolina Sessions are currently on sale. General Admission ticket prices are $70 and VIP passes are available for $140. Tickets purchased for the original Carolina Sessions date on October 3rd, will be honored and accepted for the April 9th festival date.
