SOJA is back on the road, touring in support of their Grammy nominated record, Amid The Noise and Haste. After opening 2015 with their first ever show in Jamaica, the band is set for their first American tour dates with a 14-show east coast string with special guests on select dates, all hailing from Polynesian backgrounds, such as The Green, J Boog, Leilani Wolfgramm and Common Kings.
Following their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Reggae Album of 2014, SOJA will kickoff their 2015 touring schedule with a run that shares eight total dates with Hawaii’s The Green, five dates with California’s Common Kings and features support from Florida’s own, Leilani Wolfgramm on the entire run. As a bonus for the tour,J Boog will also be making a special guest appearance each night during SOJA’s set for a collaborative performance, which is sure to include the artist’s hit song, “Let’s Do It Again” among others.
Another special addition to a typical tour will be held in Miami, where the touring bands will play at the 9 Mile Music Festival. Falling on Valentine’s Day, the annual music festival in south Florida also features Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, and Julian “Juju” Marley, Jo Mersa Marley, Capleton, Tanya Stephens, Jesse Royal among other supporting acts.
For those that are unable to attend the 9 Mile Music Festival or other United States tour dates, mark your calendars for Sunday February 15th. SOJA’s show in St. Petersburg, FL at Jannus Live, will broadcast live on Yahoo! Live, directly on the homepage, for your viewing pleasure. The Yahoo! Live stream will begin promptly at 9:00p.m. (EST), and will replay the show in its entirety for the next 24 hours following the concert’s completion.
Looking forward to SOJA’s schedule this spring, once again the internationally renown reggae band will be featured in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Australia and many more international dates throughout Europe. As always, SOJA is constantly staying busy, either writing new music for an upcoming album or touring the globe, playing over 150 concerts in a calendar year. And, these are just the first of many shows featuring SOJA.
