311: Caribbean Cruise 2017

One band attributed to bringing mainstream popularity to reggae-fusion in America announced their annual Unity Tour.

311 has had a long and illustrious career, spanning over 25-years. Beginning with their full-length studio album debut in 1993, 311 has reached the ears of music lovers across the globe with 11 studio albums, two independent releases, two platinum albums and four gold albums to their credit. 13226760_1358266394190581_3995376787387883130_n

One of the biggest and most notable tags 311 has attached to their career, happens to be spreading reggae music and the reggae-rock-rap fusion to the masses in their peak years in the 1990s. Other bands at that time that shared the spotlight in the reggae fusion were The Police, Sublime, No Doubt, and many others.

All these years later, and 311 is still releasing new studio albums and touring on their annual summer 311: Unity Tour throughout the United States. This year’s edition will feature special guest Matisyahu, and will span across the United States from June 29th to August 15th.

On top of the band’s constant touring schedule, 311 also hosts their biennial 311 Day, most recently hosted in New Orleans and Las Vegas, as well as the band’s biennial 311 Caribbean Cruise. The 2017 edition of the 311 Caribbean Cruise will take place from March 2-6, 2017, departing from Tampa, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico.

These particular music focused cruise parties typically are sold out months in advance. This year’s 311 Cruise will certainly contain a full boat load of passengers and avid fans. The lineup for this year’s cruise included Rebelution, Stick Figure, Reel Big Fish, Ballyhoo!, RDGLDGRN, People Under The Stairs, Los Stellarians, as well as the host band, 311, and plenty more great bands, DJs, and comedians to be announced in the coming months.

With the lineup of the 2017 311 Caribbean Cruise, featuring three of the top American-based reggae bands, loyal fans from all camps will be looking to secure their respective tickets and rooms aboard the Norwegian Jade cruise ship come next March.
