Slightly Stoopid: Fall Tour Announcement

Slightly Stoopid, the flagship band for California reggae, rock, punk and hip hop is hitting the road once again.

After spending the summer of 2015 promoting the band’s most recent release Meanwhile…Back at the Lab, touring outdoor amphitheaters nationwide with the Dirty Heads, The Expendables and Stick Figure. Slightly Stoopid is bringing fellow San Diego band, Stick Figure back out for round 2 this fall. The two bands have quite the history200x200-SlightlyStoopid together, even though 2015 is the first time the fellow California reggae bands shared the stage for a full-length tour.

Slightly Stoopid has long held fan base, street team and social media contests relating to artwork for posters, t-shirt designs and even making a remix of some of the band’s notable songs. Scott Woodruff, the producer, musician and leader singer of Stick Figure, has often participated in those remix contests, and taken home top billing on multiple occasions. It was clear that Scott Woodruff and Stick Figure’s music had caught the attention of Slightly Stoopid.

Seen as some of the original pioneers of the American based reggae movement, Slightly Stoopid has many admirers, and Stick Figure has long looked up to their fellow Southern California brethren.

It certainly must have been surreal performing as one of the special guests and supporting acts for the Everything Is Awesome Tour over the summer. And, now Slightly Stoopid and Stick Figure will try to repeat that incredible feat with their fall tour dates, beginning October 29th.

The tour will begin right in the heart of the United States, St. Louis, Missouri, and will feature show dates in Nashville, Florida, and all along the east coast before returning back to San Diego. The hometown performance will feature Jamaican dancehall legend, Yellowman. It is pretty tough to top that, certainly being a can’t miss performance for a welcome home party.
